Excellent food excellent service! They have big portions and prices are very reasonable.

OMG. The food is so good! The place was very busy and they were a bit short staffed but the food more than made up for it! I totally recommend just maybe on a weekday night.

Took forever for appetizer. Tuna overcooked. Saw it was ordered well done on the ticket by the server. Was never asked how it was wanted.

Awesome Mexican food...

They've got good food. Their take out containers look like a cooks worst nightmare, so I applaud them. And they even give you their homemade chips togo, such ballers. Gr8, m8, I r8 8/8.

The food here is good for the most part. The only time I was disappointed was the time I ordered the fish tacos. Fish tacos should not be made with tilapia. Overall the price is right and the food is good.

Food was good. I had a call in order. They never took it down had to redo my order and wait in store. Ordered a piece of cheese cake and got beans. I didnt order beans.

Pretty much the only Mexican food in the area; that doesn't mean it's poor quality though. The food is great, the prices aren't bad, and the atmosphere is fun. It can be a bit cramped and sometimes the staff is too busy to get to everyone in a timely manner. Overall, a good place to eat.

Authentic and wonderful. I lived in Texas for 22 years, El Vaquero West has all of those wonderful Tex-Mex flavors the other locations lack!!

Why wasn't I informed of this place when I moved here. The food is amazing and tasty. I mean it is great screw the other Mexican Restaurants out there this place is 100% the best.

We've been going here since they opened this location. We stopped going because the service and food started to go down. We came back to try again this past weekend and it was delicious! Different servers that were very attentive and courteous. And the food was the best I can remember. Hope they keep it up.

This place is great and close to home. The food is good. Social distancing so currently getting pickup only. Staff is friendly enough.

Very friendly staff with great food! I've had better but that doesn't take anything away from this place. Will be back for sure. They don't deliver but you can call ahead and pick up food. Very busy but still you will receive prompt service.

Good food, lovely atmosphere, wonderful services

My sisters neighbor recommend this place to us. It was really easy to find, has a decent size parking lot, the dining area is a bit small but its comfortable. Our waitress was super nice and let us take our time ordering (we are very bad at choosing) and the food was phenomenal.

This is the 2nd restaurant in the our area and we love eating at both Orange County locations. The food is always hot and the staff is amazing.

I agree with Steve. My family has been dining at this restaurant for several years now, & we have always had a top notch experience. The staff are very friendly, service quick, & the food is always delicious. The prices for the meals are very reasonable, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants, & they are generous with the chips & salsa. I highly recommend this place. The decor may not be professionally done by an interior decorator (someone said "lacking" in their review), but it is adequate & most importantly, it's clean.

Helpful staff, quick and attentive service, good hot food. The shrimp enchilada was packed with shrimp, the rice and beans cooked and seasoned correctly, and the chori-pollo excellent.Homemade chips and salsa were the normal good and fresh for a place like this but it's hard to make those items stand out.While I didn't partake, the margarita prices were outstanding.Only complaint/criticism was the queso dip...it was served piping hot but it was a bit runny (and just slightly bland) for whatever reason. It will usually thicken quite a bit as it cools but this serving didn't. Actually one more criticism: please clean the hot sauce bottles on the tables...it looked like someone poured hot sauce on the outside of them for four days in a row without wiping them down.
